Group Guitar Class Did you get a guitar for Chritmas? Figuring it out all by yourself can be a daunting task. Starting in February Ponier Music is offering a group guitar class to help you get started. Taught by Chad Shivers who has taught private lessons and group classes for Ponier Music over the years, Chad will get you on track and rocking out!!! Santa's Wanted Rock our intersection, make money. Every year Ponier Music has people dress up as Santa, play guitar and wave to passing cars. I am so excited about this one! As a teenager I saw Johnathan Mover in clinic at Atlanta Pro Percussion and I can tell you he will not disappoint!!! God Bless Frank Moates Jr.
My friend Frank Moates lost his battle with cancer this past Monday. Frank was the owner of Atlanta Vintage Guitars. Great guy, great guitar player. We did some business over the years but mostly I would go in AVG and shoot the bull with Frank for hours. There was never a time I met with Frank that he didn't ask about how my family was doing or a time when he wasn't bragging about his beloved daughter Francis. I was lucky enough to play 2 or 3 dozen gigs with Frank over the years and always loved listening to him play and sing. 55 is too young. I will miss you dearly my friend. Rest in Peace.

Summer Rock Camps
Join us for a week of rock at the Ponier Music Warehouse Open to guitar, bass, keyboards, drums and vocals. Students will study various aspects of rock music including technique, song writing, soloing, improvisation, and performance. The week will conclude with a live performance for friends and family featuring songs from the popular Guitar Hero and Rock Band games.

Drummers: Dom Famularo Drum Clinic Ponier Music just finalized a deal to have Dom Famularo do a drum clinic at the Kennesaw Warehouse Monday June 8th at 8PM. Ongoing Group Classes
Rock Class, String Ensemble
As you know, back in January Ponier Music offered group classes for Beginner guitar, Singer/Songwriter, String class and Rock Class. The recital was standing room only and the kids were fantastic! I was especially pleased with the girls in Amanda Bocchi's Singer/Songwriter class. They blew me away!!! The kids in the Rock and String classes didn't want to stop so we are now offering these classes on a monthly basis. Kathleen Jones' String class meets at the Marietta store on Saturdays from 10:30-12 and Joe Polo's Rock Class meets at the Kennesaw store on Saturdays from 1:30-3:00 and 3:30-5:00. Both classes are $85 per month.

Ponier Music Student Recital April 26th 1:15 and 4pm Ponier Music will be hosting our 2nd annual Spring recital at the Warehouse. Last year was a blast with over 50 students performing. I worked long and hard at figuring out how to cut and paste the proper HTML on the site to make it work and line it up and was so proud of myself for figuring it out. I showed Blake the next morning and he says ""If you just cut and paste this line here on the YouTube site it does just what you want." Arrrggg!!!! Where were you last night Blake? You could have saved this old codger hours of cursing at the screen!!! Anyway, Blake's comment made life so much easier and now we have video clips on the Warehouse, Lessons and About us pages.

Starting to get the hang of this website thing. I've added content to every page, designed a new header (that was a pain in the butt!) and have added pics on the Warehouse and links page. We are adding more guitars including our Fender stock up at Southern Guitars in Cartersville. And just like the big boys, we are offering free shipping on any website purchase over $99.95. At least until we get drumsets and guitar cabinets up there!!!
