PonierMusic is proud to offer lessons in the following instruments: guitar, bass, drums, piano, keyboard, flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, voice, baritone, oboe, tuba, banjo and mandolin.
Ponier Music's Lesson Policy
We have 5 simple rules:
1. Lesson fees will cover four half-hour lessons per month on a scheduled basis.
2. You are buying the time; you are not buying the lesson. If you choose not to show up for a lesson, you are still required to pay for the teacher’s time.
3. Teachers are only required to make up one excused lesson per month. An excused lesson is one that is called in with at least 24 hours notice. Call anytime, day or night: we have an answering machine. Teachers will also be required to make up any lessons they have to cancel.
4. It is the students/parents responsibility to call PONIER MUSIC and find a time with the teacher or staff to make up lessons.
5. When students decide to stop taking lessons, you must come in the store and fill out a “Stop Lessons” form. You must do this by the 25th of the month in order to stop the next month of payment. There will be no refunds or partial refunds if you choose to stop on or after the 26th of any calendar month.
Rock Class
Private lessons are great to become the best on your instrument but who dosen't dream of being a rock star? Rock class is a weekly class taught by long time Ponier Music teacher Joe Polo. Available to guitar, bass, drums, keyboards and vocals, when your young rocker takes the Warehouse stage you will be delighted and amazed. Classes are at Ponier Music Kennesaw on Saturdays from 1:30-3:00 and 3:30-5:00. Tuition is $85 per month.
String Ensemble
Take your playing to the next level by joining Mrs. Kathleen Jones and her string class. Learn to play within a group and work with students who share the same interests as you. Classes are at Ponier Music Marietta on Saturdays from 10:30-12:00. Tuition is $85 per month.
Brandon Reeves has been Playing for 17 years and teaching for 9. After obtaining his Bachelors from Georgia State University in Jazz Studies, Mr. Reeves gigs weekly around the Atlanta area with his blues trio. In 2009, Brandon released a solo blues guitar record.
Wanna be Droppin' the bass, all over the place? Steven Cox teaches at the Marietta and Kennesaw stores.
Susan O'Brien Has been playing for 24 years and teaching for 8 of them! She is an amazingly talented singer, pianist, and songwriter. Susan obtained her Bachelors in Music Education from Kennesaw State University. Two times out of the year she hosts recitals for her students to showcase their talents and progress.
Joe Polo has been with Ponier almost from the beginning. He has been playing and performing for over 25 years and has shared the stage with members of KISS, the LA Guns, and Dokken. Joe works wonderfully with children and will teach students of any age! Joe is, without a doubt, one of the kindest people you'll ever meet.

Interested in learning the drums? Brian Palet teaches at both Marietta and Kennesaw locations.
Justin Beales is a multi instrumentalist who can teach both guitar and violin. He teaches at Ponier Music Kennesaw.
Brett Kelly has been teaching guitar at our Marietta location for 4 years. He focuses on Rock, Classical, & Jazz. Brett is working towards his B.M. in Classical Guitar Performance from Kennesaw State University. He has released multiple records, toured nationally, and has interviewed with NPR, WRAS, WUVT, KSYM, & WVFI.
Jody Hughes is amazing on banjo, mandolin, flatpicking guitar and can teach all things Bluegrass at Ponier Music Marietta on Mondays
